The Aerie Team

Matthew Carter

General Manager

I have worked in food and beverage for over thirty years and have finally found my little slice of heaven! Eagle Landing gives me the dual challenge of running a golf course as well as having the opportunity to feed my hospitality bug with the Aerie event space. I have a passion for all things sports as well as the food and beverage industry, I even have my Level 1 sommelier certificate! After working all over Portland, from Salty’s on the Columbia to the Multnomah Athletic Club, I am excited to bring my skills to this unique venue. The sky's the limit for us here, and I truly believe that with this great staff behind me, Eagle Landing will continue to thrive! Take a swing with us and I guarantee you won’t miss.

Natasha Horsch

Lead Sales Manager

I joined The Aerie at Eagle Landing Team in 2017 while finishing my senior year at The University of Oregon. From color schemes to timelines and floor plans, using my eye for the overall vision and the small details, my goal is to make every event seamless and memorable. On a Saturday off, you can find me coaching volleyball, picking up a new book, or running to my next Orangetheory class. After spending a few years in the industry, using the tools I have learned from my coworkers, following trends, and planning all types of events, I look forward to working with you to plan your celebration!

Betsy Haindl

Sales and Event Manager

I have worked in hospitality for too many years to count. After growing up in Hawaii, I came to the University of Oregon to study, Go Ducks, and never left! I have always loved the challenge of working with customers to create the perfect event, whether it is a holiday party, corporate meeting, or wedding. When I am not at work, I am always looking to spend more time outdoors hiking, camping, or playing in the snow. My favorite wedding movie is The Wedding Singer, so working at The Aerie feels right at home.

Keiko Showalter

Sales and Event Manager

What I enjoy most in life is quality time spent with loved ones, traveling to new places, painting, crafting, camping, dancing, basketball games as well as planning events! Over the years, I've planned and coordinated hundreds of weddings, large and small, as well as social and corporate events. I've truly enjoyed going to work every day doing something that I love. The event industry has always brought me great fulfillment when I'm able to help others as I bring their event vision to reality. If you're looking to plan your next unforgettable event, The Aerie is eager and waiting!

Megann Williams

Sr. Project Manager

I have enjoyed working in the hospitality industry for three decades, mostly managing restaurants. (I loved taking care of the guests at Garbonzo's, Salty's on the Columbia and Tasty n Sons in Portland, as well as Poag Mahone's in Chicago). After having my daughter in 2014, I went into event planning at the Multnomah Athletic Club, specializing in athletic events for nearly five years. I joined the team at The Aerie in 2021, and am appreciating being a Jill-of-all-trades, managing projects large and small. I'm an avid reader, crossword junkie, record collector and love throwing a great party.

Arthur Dulin

Executive Chef

Born and raised in Los Angeles California, Arthur Dulin grew up around generations of talent within the kitchen. Arthur learned years of family recipes from his mother and grandparents. Arthur draws from his love for sports and competition to elevate his skills to become a local chef prodigy. He later joined his brother as an apprentice in Florida’s corporate restaurant industry. Arthur’s unmistakable expertise allowed him to quickly excel in the cooking line, receiving offers not only to join the kitchen but also the board room. His passion for people, leadership, and culinary creativity inspired him to pursue his potential to become a head chef. With his years of experience in traditional and non-traditional education, Arthur’s refined skill set catapulted him into the heart of Portland’s vibrating food scene where he helped open and manage some of the cities most prominent staples, such as The Screen Door, Le Chon, and Gado Gado. Within 7 years of experience as a Portland chef, Arthur earned the opportunity to pay homage to his family and budding reputation on the Food Network’s “Chopped.” Arthur gained worldly perspective from traveling the US, Asia, and South America, digesting both their foods and culture which he has now made his mission to share with communities large and small through personal, private, and public catering.

Natasha Bassett

Food + Beverage Manager

I worked in the food and beverage industry for many years before I took a hiatus to explore the legal world of estate planning as an LLC paralegal. During that time, I realized how much I missed working in customer service, having previously thrived on the energy at a bustling ski resort restaurant in central Oregon and the formal dining room at a country club in the hills of Oakland, California. I am excited and delighted to join the team at The Aerie at Eagle Landing! I come with renewed vigor for the hospitality field and look forward to providing excellent customer service. I am also happy to be back in the beautiful state of Oregon! I am thoroughly in awe of the wonderful variety of plant life and greenery, having lived for 20+ years in the high desert.

Laurie Wilson

Pro Shop Manager

As a native of Portland, I enjoy being outside any season, enjoying local food and beverages, camping, and time with my husband and adult kids. I am thrilled to work outside, learn more about the game of golf and be a part of a stellar team at The Aerie at Eagle Landing. With a couple decades of customer service experience, managing people and an eye for detail, I had the privilege of joining Eagle Landing Golf Course as the Pro Shop Manager in the Spring of 2021. I look forward to our next busy season and elevating your golfing experience at this gorgeous, scenic course.

Dustin Pokorny

Golf Course Superintendent

I have worked in golf maintenance for fifteen years, primarily at the Portland Golf Club. The last eight years I enjoyed being the Assistant Superintendent at the facility. My love for the game of golf runs deep and I’m excited to start my next adventure with Eagle Landing Golf Course. In my spare time, I coach high school baseball, drawing from my experience playing for Central Oregon for two years in college.
