The Portland Bridal Show was a great success! Thank you to all the brides and grooms who came to visit us at The Oregon Convention Center earlier this month. It was a joy to talk with so many of you about your dream weddings in our Portland venue space, which offers a variety of indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception options!
What we loved most: the amount of photos that were taken at our booth, accompanied with the “oohs” and “aahs” of eager brides grasping that moment where Pinterest suddenly became their attainable wedding reality. We are so glad you found inspiration in our gold, cream and natural combinations. This glamorous and natural fusion is a huge 2014 wedding trend right now, as it combines our mother’s 80s heritage with the glorious outdoors and timeless (and ever-faithful) use of soft, dreamy whites.
Our goal was to create a booth that reflected the famous wooden beam architecture and soft chandeliers featured in The Aerie’s Grand Ballroom. By creating an inspiring head table, placed beautifully beneath a wooden structure and soft draping, the elegance of The Aerie came to life! The head table showcased ivory linens with a gold, polka dot table runner. Each place setting displayed gold flatware, a glass charger with gold, beaded trim, and ivory china wrapped with a sequin napkin. Atop each plate, we placed a natural brown box with raffia ribbon and a sprig of rosemary. The additional soft touch of white candles, white hydrangeas and roses and the natural green of eucalyptus seed branches were the perfect, supporting cast to the leading roles: gold and sequins.
The glitter of the napkin and the natural rosemary herb
brought life to our glamorous & neutral fusion!
Gold touches were strategically scattered throughout the display with our twig trees, gold-wrapped candies on the buffet table, gold napkins, and gold up-lighting throughout! We wanted to make sure these ever-so-inspirational gold and neutral tones continuously caught the viewer’s eye for consistency, as well as to give a warm feel throughout the booth.
As our final touch, the chocolate fountain provided by our incredible in-house catering team was a huge hit, of course! Who doesn’t love chocolate? Okay. We do know there are a few of you non-chocolateers out there… and we are here for you, too.
We hope you enjoyed experiencing our inspiration of colors, sparkles, soft, neutral touches and —of course— some drops of chocolate.
Check back for our Open House event blog soon – it was a blast!
